Hey there! I’m Jony, an entrepreneur and investor with a wild 16-year entrepreneurial journey under my belt. I took my bootstrapped company all the way to a partial exit to a private equity firm. Since founding, the ecommerce biz has sold 9 figures worth of products as well as acquired multiple brands.

Investing, business, and faith are my passions. As a follower of Christ, my faith is my compass in everything I do.

Investing is my “sport” of choice – I love it. There’s nothing quite like the thrill of diving deep into the potential of a venture and seeing it grow beyond expectations. I enjoy the challenge, the analysis, and the strategizing. This has led me to make an investment in over 100 early stage startups as well as significant investment into real estate. I love investing into real estate such as commercial properties, multi-family, industrial, oppotunity zones, and residential. But it’s not just about the money – it’s about what we do with it, and the impact it can have.

That’s why I’m also deeply passionate about another kind of investment – investing into the Kingdom of God. Just as I nurture financial ventures, I strive to cultivate my spiritual journey and contribute to our faith community. This type of investment doesn’t come with a financial report or a shareholder’s meeting. Instead, it comes with a sense of purpose and fulfillment, a strengthening of faith, and the chance to make a real difference. It’s about giving time, resources, love, and walking the path Jesus set before us. As we sow, so shall we reap – and this is true for both types of investing!

But it’s not all boardrooms and balance sheets for me. I also serve as a Campus Pastor at City Life East Bay, alongside my amazing wife Maria. From boardroom meetings to Sunday serving – it’s a pretty unique mix, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I also am a drummer and love to worship God on the drums.

In my past life, I was the founder and CEO of AllGuard for nearly 16 years, and now just a board member and shareholder.

Of all my passions, nothing comes close to my love for my family. I met my wife, my high school sweetheart, in church when we were just 15 years old where she asked the nerdy kid (me) for help with her website and would end up chatting on AOL Instant messanger all night. The rest is history. We’ve been on an incredible journey together, from youthful sweethearts to life partners, experiencing all the joys and challenges that life throws our way.

Our love story has been blessed with two beautiful chapters – our kids, Jude and Zoe. Jude, the adventurous 9-year-old, is full of curiosity and has a heart bigger than his smile. Zoe, our kind spirited 7-year-old, is a bundle of joy and surprises us every day with her wisdom beyond her years.

Seeing the world through my children’s eyes, witnessing their growth, and nurturing their dreams – these are the investments of the heart that yield the most profound returns. And standing by my side through it all is my wife, my biggest supporter.
